1. YouTube integrates an AI-Powered Dubbing tool

YouTube is testing a new AI-powered tool that automatically dubs videos into other languages. The tool was announced at VidCon and is a collaboration with Aloud, an AI-powered dubbing service that is part of Google's in-house incubator, Area 120.

Earlier this year, YouTube introduced support for multi-language audio tracks, allowing creators to add dubbing to their new and existing videos, thereby reaching a wider international audience. As of June 2023, creators have dubbed more than 10,000 videos in over 70 languages.

2. New WHO AI tool invites people to counter Online promotion of unhealthy products

This AI tool is designed to support governments in developing new ways to protect children from exposure to harmful advertisements. However, for the tool to be effective, it requires engagement from consumers.

3. Harvard is Using AI to Teach

Harvard's flagship coding course, Computer Science 50: Introduction to Computer Science, will use AI this year.

In the fall, AI will help students find bugs in their code, give feedback on program design, explain unfamiliar lines of code or error messages, and answer individual questions.
